The route has two roads, one shorter that arrives to the lake Carucedo and another more extensive that arrives to Las Medulas. The longest one allows you to travel between a Holm oak forest dotted with chestnut trees, strawberry trees, and wild rose bushes, where you can watch birds such as warblers and chiffchaffs.
