Leaving Cueto, the route goes by road to San Juan de la Mata, and passes by forest trails reaching Vega de Espinareda or San Vicente, which was farm and vegetable garden of the Benedictine monastery of San Andres. The last section before Fabero runs by mine tracks still active, which need to be walked carefully due to the possible traffic of heavy machinery. We recommend this route from spring to autumn, avoiding periods of rain or snow.
