The trail begins in the municipality of Santibáñez de Valcorba . Leaving along the Sardón road, to the right, the Quintanilla de Abajo road opens, along which we will continue until we find the Cañada de Cantoblanco , leaving the Arroyo Valimón to the right of the march.

After 1,700 m, we leave the ravine and turn right taking the Barcavadillo path, which leads us through a mass of pine forests to the Barco de Barcavadillo, occupied by herbaceous crops. And from this, we take the path that gives its name to the trail, Camino de la Sombría. It is a path that extends along an intermediate level of the slope, alternating an initial area of certain tree vegetation (mainly pines and some holm oaks), to later dominate the bush vegetation, which will allow the hiker to enjoy the Valimón valley.

After walking a kilometer and a half along this path, you will join the fork of roads previously indicated and that connects again with the path to Quintanilla de Abajo , putting an end to the route, describing a circular route.

This trail has a direct link with the Valcorba Trail via the Sombría Trail.
