The circular path, just over 10 kilometers long, flat and without technical difficulty, has as its starting and return point the vicinity of the Old Bridge and the Fuente del Caño in the Valladolid town of Mojados, to the east of its urban area.

The path runs through the valley of the Cega River between dryland and irrigated crops, flanked by the plateaus of calcareous moors. We take from the starting point a wide path (Camino de Bernavillo) that in about 5 easy kilometers between crops takes us to the area of Pinar del Cotarrón, where we find the corresponding information panel. It is a pleasant place occupied by a patch of stone pines, where we can enjoy the view of the Cega River and its valley, which in this section runs for 20-30 meters, forming a meander in its path that undermines the slope and a wide flood plain typical of a river quite naturalized in its fluvial dynamics, subject to periodic floods.

At this point we can also appreciate the development of the riverside forest of poplar, ash, alder, elms and willows associated with the alluvial deposits and the humidity of the soil of the Cega River, configuring a space that together constitutes a fairly well preserved river ecosystem and of high environmental value that has been included within the Natura 2000 Network.

We will retrace our steps for 3 kilometers and then turn left towards the south, crossing a farmland and heading to the valley of the Cega River. In this section the path runs along the banks of the Cega River and its gallery forest, which we leave on our left. After traveling this section along the river for 2 kilometers, we return to the main path and the starting point, completing a circular route that will take us just under two and a half hours.
