The Aranda de Duero City Council and the Castilian and Leonese Institute of Language present " Essentials ," a literary series directed and introduced by writer and literary critic José Ignacio García, on Thursday, January 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ibercaja auditorium in Aranda. This initiative aims to introduce readers to nine writers from Castilla y León —one from each province—whose narrative and poetic work makes them essential reading. This event is part of a new joint series , "Music, Image, and Word," designed by both institutions for Aranda de Duero, featuring initiatives across various genres.

García, who has an extensive panoramic view of the narrative that defines the literature of Castilla y León, on this occasion focuses his attention on nine writers who, despite their age, remain in perfect shape and still have many brilliant stories to tell, in the opinion of this specialist, critic, editor, anthologist, cultural manager, jury member of the Castilla y León Critics' Prize and practicing writer.

Essentials focuses on highlighting the work of a selection of names that, far from being forgotten, inhabit the land of all self-respecting readers, and whose words distill the pure essence of quality literature, regardless of whether they have been recognized with prestigious awards or whether their work enjoys the favor of major publishing houses.
