Ana Silva and Márcio Costa form Sounds of Brazil.

It's a musical and sensorial experience that tells a story. It's a journey through time and space, transporting you to a time, the 1950s and 1970s, and a place, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). It was there that a new musical style called bossa nova emerged, crossing Brazil's borders and reaching the entire world.

On this journey, through anecdotes, stories, and songs, we recreate a historic cultural moment, the memory of what was lived and imagined.

Ana Silva , born in Palencia and living in Segovia, is a great lover of jazz and Brazilian music.

Since 2017, she has been perfecting her vocal technique with soprano Mª Henar Cabrero de la Calle. In 2022, she completed vocal improvisation training with singer Aurora Arteaga at the School of Creative Music in Madrid.

In 2023, she joined the Madrid Gospel Choir under the direction of Nancy Roncesvalles, in the soprano role, adding a unique and learning experience to her career.

Ana is currently immersed in two musical projects. "Sounds of Brazil," which has already been presented in various venues, including the Madrid Jazz Festival and programs such as Allegrisimo ( Palencia Provincial Council), Distrito 921 (Don Juan de Borbón Foundation), and Aire Rural (Caja Rural Foundation), and "Great Ladies of Jazz," which is a fascinating journey through the most outstanding female voices of swing and bebop.
