El Ámbole was formed when Julio de San Esteban, a flamenco guitarist from Burgos trained as a multi-instrumentalist of plucked string instruments (especially those rooted in the traditional folklore of the Mediterranean basin), and Juanjo Villalaín, a versatile flautist and singer with a great interest in historical instruments and early music, decided to combine their talents to revive the folklore of the Spanish Mediterranean basin, always respecting the lyrics, melody, and rhythm. Greek bouzouki and mandola; wind instruments and vocals.

A complete sensory experience that draws on traditions of Castilian, Andalusian and Sephardic origin, collected both in the Iberian Peninsula and in the eastern Mediterranean and North Africa.

This activity is part of the program of the IX Local Music Conference .

It will take place, weather permitting, in the courtyard of the Miguel de Cervantes library, on Tuesday, June 9, at 7 p.m.
