In the daily routine of Ernesto, a naive street sweeper, everything useless is useful. Everything discarded is used. Everything he finds lying around gives rise to entertaining adventures. Even outdated stories.
With the help of Gabi, a very chatty rat, we'll meet old boots that tell a tender love story, or the friendship between a potato and a battered guitar. We'll also learn what can be done with stories that are no longer told and have been forgotten. Through the language of puppets, we've addressed two important topics: environmental awareness, recycling, and overconsumption; and, secondly, we've called for a return to life for classic tales that are no longer told.
Kamaru is the fruit of more than a decade dedicated to different disciplines of theater, street entertainment, and the combination of different genres united by the three key concepts that drive the company: participation, intimacy, and humor. This trajectory has been reflected in more than 25 of its own productions, as well as various co-productions with other companies and institutions on the national scene. The company's concern and broad dynamism are reflected in the very fact that it keeps most of these creations alive.
