Touches of humor, singing, poetry, and oral storytelling.

Where, where are they? There, hidden, among the thick branches. If you listen carefully, you can feel them. They were always there… but they were never named. From the corner of history books, the actress/narrator Mercedes Herrero embarks on a search. She asks questions, investigates, observes. A voice whispers a lapidary, precise, and certain phrase to her: what is not named does not exist.

Stories by Eduardo Galeano, romances from oral tradition and poems by Saint Teresa of Ávila and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, kneaded with the words of Mercedes Herrero / Pez Luna Teatro.

Moonfish Theater

A theater company from Palencia focused on contemporary documentary theater and family theater. Its founding member, Mercedes Herrero, an actress, director, and playwright, was named Best Actress of Castilla y León in 2017 for her work in the play "Acunar al viejo árbol" (Cradling the Old Tree). She directed the company Alkimia 130 for sixteen years, exploring street arts and creation in open spaces. Her current focus is on researching stage devices related to reality and contemporary playwriting for children. She occasionally blends theater and storytelling in her individual projects, such as the project "Raíces y Alas" (Roots and Wings) or the play "VEO VEO ¿QUÉ NO VES?" (I Spy, What Don't You See?) , where she merges her own texts with stories by Eduardo Galeano, folk songs, and poems by Saint Teresa of Ávila and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. She coordinated the Storytelling Marathon at the Palencia Library for ten years and currently collaborates by leading storytelling workshops.
