Paula Higa, director. She is a Brazilian-born American choreographer with over 40 years of experience in dance. Mario Higa is a full professor of Brazilian language and literature at Middlebury College in the USA. He is the author of several books and articles published in Brazil, the USA, and Europe. The Migrant Body (2023) is a collaborative, interdisciplinary project featuring choreography, music, film, and artist-directed poetry. It was inspired by Higa's move to the United States with her family in 2004. It explores the complexities of human mobility while investigating the meaning of origin and home; it encourages us to reflect on our origins and question who, if anyone, in the world is not a migrant.
