On April 28th we will have the session on criminology taught by José Carlos Vilorio de la Fuente , Secretary of SECCIF and retired Civil Guard .
Comparative criminology allows us to analyze how the social and territorial environment influences forms of crime. While urban environments tend to exhibit a greater diversity and volume of crimes associated with population density and complex social dynamics, rural environments show distinct types of crime, linked in many cases to factors such as geographic isolation, community relations, or certain crimes specific to rural areas.
The conference will address the main criminological differences between both contexts, analyzing characteristics, crime typologies and some of the social and structural factors that explain these differences.
