The Mexican Day of the Dead celebration is organized by the Association of Mexicans in Salamanca(MEXSAL). Since 2017, this celebration has taken place in the courtyard of the Salamanca Public Library - Casa de las Conchas, with the installation of the Day of the Dead Offering Altar, an exhibition with a different theme each year, and musical and children's activities.

This year's exhibition, titled "Mestiza Offering - 1st Edition 2025: Boleros, Coplas, and Kisses: Lara, Flores, and Consuelo at the Altar. Mexico and Spain United by Music, Memory, and Soul ," will be on view in the library's Lower Patio from October 29 to November 16, 2025.

PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES Saturday, October 29
  • 7:00 PM:
    Exhibition opening.
    Presentation of the MEXSAL Association.
    Explanation and presentation of the exhibition.
    Live music: "Sounds from beyond".
Saturday, November 8
  • 11:00 - 13:00 hours:
    Face painting with La Catrina and El Catrín.

  • 12:00 hours:
    Live music, classical and contemporary dance: Insolence Group + instrumental soloist.
