The 11th edition of Writers' Day will take place on October 19, 2026, curated by editor Christina Linares , and will be dedicated to the Lyceum Women's Club to celebrate the contribution of women to literature and recover the memory of authors whose work has remained relegated to the background for too long.
Under the motto "Friends as a form of freedom", the eleventh edition will focus on the networks of support, complicity and shared creation that made possible the development of many female writers and intellectuals and that continue to be fundamental for the advancement of equality.
This celebration will be dedicated to the Lyceum Club Femenino, on the occasion of the centenary of its founding, a pioneering institution in the defense of the intellectual, cultural and social participation of women in Spain.
This is an initiative organised by the National Library of Spain, the Spanish Federation of Female Professional Managers and Executives and Businesswomen (FEDEPE) and the association Clásicas y Modernas, Association for the equality of women and men in Culture. It will also have the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española (ACE) and the Spanish Centre for Reprographic Rights (CEDRO).
The Salamanca Library joins this initiative with read-alouds of the selected texts.
