The EHU Orkestra Sinfonikoa is a university orchestra whose participants are mostly musicians who have or have had a relationship with the University of the Basque Country.

It began its journey in November 2016 and was established as an Association in 2017. Among its aims is the dissemination of culture among university students through music and cultural communication between the University and society through symphonic music.

The orchestra's baton is in the hands of Doru Artenie, a musician with extensive knowledge of the symphonic world thanks to his long and distinguished career. He has been a member of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS) for several decades, which has allowed him to acquire a wealth of experience that is evident in his work leading this young orchestra.

The EHU Symphony Orchestra has developed a broad repertoire encompassing the diverse styles that have emerged throughout musical history. Its repertoire includes works by Bach, Bartók, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Grieg, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, and Warlock, among others. The orchestra has also participated in the Musika-Música festival in Bilbao, performed concerts at the Abando Parish (Bilbao) and the Arantzazu Sanctuary (Oñate) with the University Choir and the Orfeón Bergares, and given a moving performance in a concert honoring healthcare workers in gratitude for their dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.
