Ármaga is honored to present the solo exhibition of Eduardo Arroyo (Madrid, 1937 - 2018). The artist, with roots in Laciana, returns to his homeland after twenty-five years in an exhibition that brings together some of the most iconic and representative works of his career.

Is Arroyo an excessive character? Excessive in his painting or sculpture, excessive in his vitality and physical prowess, in his humor and cordiality. And in his passions. A very politically incorrect character, because he has an undeniable tendency not to remain silent and, unlike most visual artists, he is very capable of expressing orally what he manifests in his art and, surely, much more: what he thinks about a reality that fascinates him. A passion for life, passionate repugnances, and passionate affections and rejections that encompass not only the art world and the fierce aesthetic and ethical battles in which he participates, but also political life, memory, reality itself.
