Zamora Museum – "From Here. Now" is an exhibition project that aims to showcase emerging art and the creative practices of young artists, still in their formative stages, on their path to the professional scene. It does so with a dual focus on territorial and temporal connections, which encourages the selection of current works and proposals by Fine Arts students from various faculties, as well as reflections directly related to the local environment.

The evident difficulty young artists currently face in finding channels through which to make their creative experiences visible and shared, drives a project outlined by the professors of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Salamanca, Jorge Gil, Beatriz Castela and Javier Ayarza, who are responsible for the selection of artists and works according to the specific exhibition space.

The HERE. NOW. 2. Zamora edition continues the initial call at the Palencia Museum to accommodate, in a local way, proposals from 13 artists linked to the Zamora territory, whether by birth, residence or object of reflection:

By embracing this project, the Zamora Museum proposes an expansion of its social function, adding to its traditional work of conservation and communication of cultural heritage, the objective of becoming a space that fosters creativity and critical thinking, in a more open environment for the community where different social actors can express their experiences and share their narratives.
