Zamora Museum - Gathered under the title "Matter and Geometry", the series "Mineral Geometry" and "Geometric Oxidations" represent an approach to reality from abstract painting to show, beyond its external appearance, its developments and transformations.

Luis Nieto makes no secret of his intention to give a second life to elements and materials from nature; his pursuit of beauty through strictly plastic means, his rejection of the anecdotal, and his reliance on orthogonal structures are characteristic of his work and at times link it to formalist abstraction. At other times, however, the interplay between the abandoned object and its traces, or the presentation of deterioration processes, offers a more dramatic perspective, a poetics of dispossession, typical of informalism.
