Legend, Ink and Paper: Cultural Workshop for the Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival
A way to bring the people of Zamora closer to Eastern cultural traditions, primarily their art, literature, writing and music, through a fun and educational workshop.
Coordinated by Eva Haiying Song, the event, centered around the theme of the horse, commemorates its year. The activities will focus on Eastern literature and calligraphy, and will also feature a presentation of the famous Eastern instrument, the erhu.
Eva Haiying Sòng holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Shanghai Academy and has studied at the University of Salamanca. She currently teaches Mandarin Chinese in Zamora, coordinating the "Alas" Oriental Studies Academy in the city. She is also passionate about anime (she organized the Shanghai International Anime Fair) and plays the erhu (a traditional Eastern stringed instrument known as the "Chinese violin"). Eva is also a member of the Zamora-based Cultural Association of Friends of East Asia.
