Valladolid Museum. This month, at the museum, you can see a hand-engraved and colored wall map, part of a set of five maps—Europe, Asia, America, Africa, and the world—published in 1776. It features a large border of Rococo-style frames containing mythical scenes and episodes from the history of the African continent, with descriptions in French and Spanish. Its creator, Abbé Clouet, was a geographer and distinguished member of the Academy of Sciences in Rouen, France. The map was printed in Paris by LJ Mondhare, who also has an office in Cádiz.

Guided tour of the piece of the month on August 8 at 12:00 p.m. Free admission, no reservation required.
