Clara Schumann (Part Two). Soul of Romanticism.

In this second session dedicated to Clara Schumann, we will delve into the mature period of one of the most fascinating figures in the history of music. A virtuoso pianist, composer, teacher, and mother, Clara managed to build an extraordinary artistic career in an era when women faced enormous difficulties in developing a professional life.

Through her music, her letters, and the most important events of her life, we will discover how she faced the years after Robert Schumann's illness and death, her relationship with Johannes Brahms, her international tours, her work as a performer and promoter of the work of the great Romantic composers, and the legacy she left for later generations.

An opportunity to get to know an exceptional woman whose life was an example of talent, resilience and love for music, and to rediscover a body of work that deserves a prominent place in musical history
