During the months of January to March 2026, the Zamora Public Library continues with the program of oral storytelling sessions for all audiences.

Friday, March 27. Quico Cadaval (Galicia)

Quico Cadaval (Ribeira, 1960) is a Galician actor, director, theatrical adapter, and storyteller, a driving force behind the radio drama movement that emerged in Galicia in the 1990s. He learned to tell stories from elderly women and/or housewives who passed them on to him, and also from a wider variety of people who frequented the tavern where he was born.

  • 5:30 p.m., for adult audiences

"Family Ghosts"

It is a show created from stories of oral tradition that were gradually distorted, transforming a storytelling performance into one influenced by environmental circumstances, inclement weather, the artist's personal experiences, and the audience's most intimate fears.

Specters, brave men, miracle workers, fishmongers, sailors, rock legends, religious leaders, tavern keepers, kings, coup plotters, prisoners, fortune tellers, hitmen, prostitutes, law enforcement officers, industrialists, crooners, and ranchers pass through its streets, but it is not certain that all of them will appear.

  • 7:00 p.m., for adult audiences

"Written in the air"

This storytelling session will include a master class talk for adults.
