A piano among books , by the pianist and writer from Valladolid, Diego Fernández Magdaleno.

This album, recorded from August 4 to 7, 2025 at the Miguel Delibes Auditorium in Valladolid under the production of Armando Fernández Leon / Armando Records, with production assistance from Luis García Vegas, brings together a repertoire of 28 works that combine contemporary Spanish music with literary texts by authors from Castilla y León.

The album originated from the concert program "A Piano Among Books: Writers of Castilla y León" , developed by the Castilian and Leonese Institute of Language in 2023. This project united the two most significant facets of Diego Fernández Magdaleno: piano performance and writing, offering a unique fusion of music and literature based on knowledge, sensitivity and a vocation for disseminating the literary heritage of Castilla y León.

The writers honored in the project are all from the region, as are many of the composers, and the concert that originated it successfully toured various cultural spaces in the community.

The presentation will not feature a live performance, but it will include the playing of some of the tracks from the album, as well as an exposition of the project.
