The Castilian and Leonese Institute of Language and the Simoneta cultural project are promoting a live recording of the fifth and final session of the cultural podcast "¿Seguimos o no?" (Shall We Continue or Not ?) at the Palacio de la Isla on Monday, November 9th, at 7:30 pm. Aitana Alba Barba, head of service at the General Archive of Castilla y León , and Federico Sanz, director of the Burgos municipal libraries, are the guests for the last session of this series of talks, entitled " Preserving for Others to Read: Libraries and Archives, the Memory of the Book."

The central theme of this session is the role of libraries and archives as custodians of written memory and essential agents for ensuring the transmission of knowledge. In this sense, the conversation focuses on those who both close and restart the book cycle. Libraries and archives are not only spaces of preservation, but also places where books acquire new life through consultation, research, reading, and dissemination.
