Gabriel Quindós is a screenwriter, writer, and traveler. Born in Leon (1965), he studied Film Directing and Screenwriting in Madrid. For over a decade, he wrote six feature film screenplays on his own, and although they garnered the interest of several production companies, none were ever produced.

After failing in his foray into film, he has turned to his first vocation, literature, and has failed. He has spent eight years on a trilogy that recounts his wanderings across three continents, interweaving a narrative of the journey with extensive fictional stories set in landscapes encountered along the way, thus relying on the anchors of imagination to channel a yearning for understanding. Two of these have been published by Mr. Griffin: Other Clouds, Other Rains is set in Vietnam; the four hundred pages of Deserted Roads, Nearby Skies sprang from a journey through the nine departments of Bolivia. Ethiopian Mornings, Cracked Paths, conceived during extended stays in Ethiopia, remains unpublished.

In 2016, No me acuerdo (Mr. Griffin) was released, in which, together with the writer Yago Ferreiro, each with their own texts, a reversal of the renowned books of Brainard and Perec is undertaken.

In April 2025 , The Beauty of Traveling , a treatise on the sentimental traveler, was published by Eolas Ediciones as part of the De la belleza collection. Today, the author presents it at the library in conversation with Héctor Escobar.

Besides collaborations and other vaguely remembered writings that have appeared here and there, he has two unpublished novels.

He writes and walks slowly, sleeps little, is punctual, doesn't drive, doesn't have social media, tries things and estimates that, if good fortune accompanies him, one year he will finish the three works he has left to write and which he has been outlining for years.
