The bridges over the Douro River

In this book, the author compiles information on all 133 existing crossings over the Douro River , from its source to its mouth in Porto. Its pages include all types of structures: historical, railway, metal, footbridges, road and motorway bridges, offering a comprehensive and well-documented overview of this network that connects territories and landscapes. Special attention is given to the three bridges that cross the Douro as it passes through Toro, as well as the high-speed rail bridge near Peleagonzalo.

The author will be accompanied at the event by Isabel Marbán from Toro, who will be in charge of the presentation.

Antonio Álvarez Mora , born in Andalusia but a resident of Burgos, belongs to the cultural volunteer program for museums (CEATE), whose mission is to explain certain historical buildings in the city, belonging to the Burgos City Council or the Burgos Provincial Council, to primary and secondary school students and adults.
