Crystal Princess: Between Light and Fragility
Carmen Cadierno Justel
Ed. Libros para el infinito, 2026

Crystal Princess is a story born from personal experiences, but it blends reality and fiction to create a novel. The story follows different stages of its protagonist's life and addresses themes such as mental illness, self-esteem, social pressure, family, love, and the difficulties of moving forward when everything seems to have come to a standstill.

Although the novel draws on personal experiences, emotions, and events, it also contains fictional characters, situations, and events. It offers social commentary and reflects on how much progress we have actually made in understanding and treating mental disorders, and, above all, what still needs to change.

Carmen Cadierno Justel (Zamora, 1993) studied Marketing and Advertising and is currently continuing her studies in Psychology. For approximately ten years, she lived with anorexia, in addition to experiencing various bouts of depression. She also has a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). She has now recovered from the eating disorder, although she continues to struggle with depression and BPD. Today, she has a family, a home, projects, studies, and a fulfilling life.

Crystal Princess , her first book, doesn't simply aim to recount what happened to her, but rather to create a story where reality and fiction intertwine to address issues that still need to be heard. For the author, writing this book has been a way to transform part of her experience into a story that transcends her own personal experience.
