On Tuesday, April 28 , at 7:00 p.m. , in the Auditorium of the Palencia Public Library , the presentation of the book Ghost Member by Fernanda Trías , one of the great writers of current Latin American literature, will take place.

The phantom limb is the amputation that remains as pain and as a presence. Is it an imaginary pain? No, it is real. The characters in these stories carry what has been lost. Pains that remain festering, throbbing dully in the most intimate realm; that remain lodged in the memories of families, lovers, friends; that are inscribed in the history of a wounded nation. In that universe, addictions, escapes, or detachments are the anesthesia for what cannot be borne or erased: because some ghosts are unseen, they wander within us.
