On Thursday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m. , in the Auditorium of the Public Library of Palencia , the presentation of the book "El abuelo Delibes" by Germán Delibes Caballero will take place.

Miguel Delibes was, in addition to being a writer, a family man. This is a little-known side of him, one that he displayed abundantly in his most intimate moments. Tennis, cycling, hunting, Sedano, family intrigues, and the nerves he experienced before receiving the Cervantes Prize are some of the anecdotes recounted by the second of the writer's eighteen grandchildren. Despite not having a typical grandfather, he knew a special person who, in his own way, devoted himself to each and every one of them.

Germán Delibes Caballero (Valladolid, 1973) is a primary school teacher in Castilla y León and a passionate sports enthusiast. For years, he has collaborated with the Regional Ministry of Education and the Miguel Delibes Foundation on the program "The Other Delibes," a series of talks in which, thanks to his family ties, he provides students in his region with a personal, and sometimes surprising, perspective on the Valladolid-born novelist.
