On Friday, April 10th at 7:00 p.m. , in the Auditorium of the Palencia Public Library , the presentation of the book Juan, a swift with broken wings by Albino Aláez Urdiales will take place.

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the social situation in the Asturian mining regions was marked by labor disputes and numerous strikes, culminating in 1962 with the so-called "Huelgona" or " Silence Strike ," which led to repression and deportations among the mine workers. This instability prompted a diaspora of entire families to other areas, including the mountains of Leon, in search of work and stability.

Two teenagers, oblivious to the conflict of their neighbors, recount their activities and experiences in the town or at their religious boarding schools. The passage of time will separate them both physically and ideologically.
