On Wednesday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. , in the Auditorium Room of the Palencia Public Library , the book Lago Topo by Eduardo Franco with illustrations by Eugenio Rivera will be presented.

"I would gladly pray to the gods, but I wouldn't know what to ask for. A piece of rope to hang myself, or comfortable shoes to reach a remote spring. Or some food. They didn't make me so perfect, that's why I don't believe in their gifts. And of course, my requests shouldn't be urgent. I suppose all those who surround me in one of so many circles think the same as I do. If anything, I'd rather eke out a living for a crumb of undercooked bread or a sip of unhealthy water."

The fact that I was once an engineer is of little interest to many. The fact that it's the spring of 2049 adds only a minor detail.
