On October 22nd , at 7:00 p.m. , in the Auditorium of the Palencia Public Library , the presentation of the book Unfinished Memories (False Appearances, Book 2) by Julio López will take place.

Apollo is a man on the cusp of forty for whom anguish, frustration, and life itself seem to form a single, unholy curse. Thousands of memories dwell in the depths of his mind: some surface with cruel randomness; others remain buried beneath a layer of reinforced concrete, untouched, incorruptible, as if they had never intended to be found. Of these latter memories, unable to recall them, he only suspects their existence.

Apollo is not his real name. He chose to call himself that in honor of Aphrodite, the muse of his youth.

One day he decides it's time to confront the past that haunts him and put an end to those unfinished memories that resurface in his lucid moments. To achieve this, he must settle accounts with the person who starred in those youthful scenes his mind was determined to conceal.

But as he delves into that past, he will discover that the reason for his tormented existence was not, by any stretch of the imagination, what he had always suspected.

Julio López was born in Venta de Baños in 1967. He holds a PhD in Economics, a law degree, and has been a professor of Economic Analysis at the University of Valladolid since 1990. He has published numerous specialized articles, participated in various research projects, and developed extensive outreach work through the YouTube channel "Economedia Universidad." He has also contributed opinion pieces on economics and politics to various media outlets.

He was also involved in political activity, an experience that inspired my first novel, With Mom or Dad , after which he published Amen and has just published his third novel, Unfinished Memories .
