Rodorin
A teacher by training, a puppeteer by vocation. He travels from place to place with his boxes and suitcases that serve as puppet theaters, accompanied by objects salvaged perhaps from some flea market or antique shop, and stories gathered from oral tradition. All this, without forgetting his reddish, curly hair, styled aimlessly.
Puppet show and stories
In this session, Rodorín presents a program that combines storytelling and puppetry. Short narratives drawn from oral tradition and contemporary children's authors are featured. In all of them, the word is prominently used as music: rhythm, rhyme, echoes, alliteration... This oral quality is counterpointed by play; play with various elements familiar to children: books, puppets and marionettes, toys, and everyday objects that, figuratively or symbolically, become characters in the stories through their manipulation.
