For twenty-five years, Abrojo Folk has been spreading traditional music throughout Spain. During this time, Abrojo Folk has recorded four albums: Barrios y Lugares (Neighborhoods and Places), Remembranzas (Remembrances), Entre trigos y pinares (Between Wheat Fields and Pine Groves), and El sueño que sobrevive (The Dream That Survives), the latter recently recorded at Armando Records studios in Valladolid. These albums showcase traditions from their region and other communities, and the group has also included original songs on their latest album, El sueño que sobrevive .
Over seven hundred performances and numerous towns visited have made the work worthwhile. These experiences have helped Abrojo Folk mature and grow. It is a source of great satisfaction for us to see how traditional music remains alive and that our roots are still vibrant. For the recording of "El sueño que sobrevive" (The Dream That Survives), Abrojo Folk collaborated with important artists such as Cristina Ortiz of Free Folk, Salvador Cacho, Charli Muni of Tahona, Jaime la Fuente of Caracol Andador, Ángel Lévid of Lévid Cuarteto Folk, and Francisco García on percussion.
Currently, Abrojo Folk is considered one of the leading folk groups in our folklore with a very enjoyable and pleasant repertoire in which they continue to use traditional folk instruments such as: dulzainas, caja, laúd, guitars, accordion, tambourine, sonajas, tejoletas, flutes or pito castellano among others.
