Paco Sordo was born in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) in 1979. He studied animation at the Madrid Film and Audiovisual School (ECAM) between 2002 and 2005, and worked as an animator and graphic designer for production companies and agencies before dedicating himself fully to comics and illustration. Between 2010 and 2014, he published the satirical humor series Internet, User Manual for the magazine El Jueves, and after leaving, he collaborated with the digital magazine Orgullo y Satisfacción on the series Tebeos Basura (Trash Comics). He also developed a prolific body of work illustrating children's books for Spain and the Franco-Belgian market. His recognition came in 2022 when he won the National Comic Award for his graphic novel El Pacto (The Pact), a tribute to classic Spanish comics that combines humor, meta-comics, and reflection on the profession. Since then, he has remained active in comics, illustration, and children's projects, establishing himself as a leading author on the Spanish scene.

Fermín Solís was born in Madroñera (Cáceres) in 1972 and is a comic book artist and illustrator belonging to the so-called "Spanish new wave" of comics. He began his career in fanzines such as Subterfuge and Cabezabajo, and soon published longer works, including his series featuring his alter ego Martín Mostaza—such as Los días más largos (2003) and El año que vimos nevar (2005)—for which he won the Revelation Author Award at the Barcelona Comic Fair in 2004.
His leap to international recognition came with the graphic novel Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles (2008), which was a finalist for the National Comic Award and was reissued in color in 2019 after the success of its film adaptation.
After a period of dedication to children's comics and books for young people — such as the Astro-Ratón and Bombillita series or La tribu chatarra — throughout the 2010s, he returned strongly to adult comics.
In recent years he has published graphic novels such as Medea Adrift (2021), Elia (2023), and Buñuel and the Dreams of Desire (2024). In 2024, he was awarded the Fnac-Salamandra Graphic Prize for his project Charles Loves Josefa, which will be published in 2025, confirming his continued relevance and constant innovation in the Spanish comics scene.
