The Duende Lady is the story of a woman locked in an apartment, where much of the action takes place in the dark (to the further horror of poor Cosme), and where a cupboard leads to a secret, empty room, from where she can witness the plot as a ghost, as a goblin, and present herself as a ghost.

We soon arrive at the Madrid of the newborn THE CASE, where murders and unsolved mysteries proliferated, to Fuencarral Street and its rows of poorly lit apartments, to the Literature of apparitions and thieves, to stories published in evening newspapers, to chilling tales heard around the radio... we have arrived. In 1942, the Spanish Broadcasting Society launched the Radio Madrid On-Air Theatre Company. A record plays in the studio, we turn on the device, first some live commercials, and soon we arrive at the Kingdom of Voices.
