In 2026, we continue our commitment to cultural dissemination with a new installment of EMERITUS. This interview series brings the public closer to the careers and reflections of key figures in culture and the humanities. This time, the featured guest will be Germán Vega, Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Valladolid.

Throughout his extensive professional career, Germán Vega has researched literature from different periods and such prominent figures as El Cid, Saint Teresa of Ávila, Saint John of the Cross, Cervantes, and Hartzenbusch. However, his specialty is undoubtedly classical Spanish theater, on which he has published more than two hundred works dedicated to the location and cataloging of texts, attribution, reception, and historical and literary implications.
