Reaching the Golden Fleece should have been his greatest feat, but it ended up becoming the beginning of his downfall.

After winning him over with Medea's help, Jason swears eternal love to her, and they both flee in search of a safe haven. Upon arriving in Corinth, Jason asks King Creon for help, but Creon, in exchange for asylum, demands that he marry his daughter Creusa.

Tired of his stateless wandering, Jason agrees and breaks his oath.

His betrayal of his word unleashes Medea's wrath and brings about the arrival of the Furies, sent by the gods to force him to confront his past: only by descending into the underworld can he save himself from the bloodbath that Medea is prepared to inflict upon him.

However, if he fails to reconstruct all his steps correctly, perhaps even descending to Hades won't be enough.
