SYNOPSIS

The men of Athens and Sparta are immersed in a never-ending war, the Peloponnesian War. Aristophanes, the author of this comedy and an Athenian citizen, lived through that war and, knowing its details well, frequently protested against it. This position prompted him to write this play, in which he highlights the absurdity of rivalry between brother nations and demonstrates that a team effort for peace can lead to success.

The play revolves around Lysistrata, a woman determined to end the war, putting women in charge in a world turned upside down for the Greeks. Lysistrata's strategy is to go on a sex strike that will last until the men make peace.

In our version, we tell this wonderful story avoiding stereotypes or " ridicule " with empty confrontations, constantly seeking integration, and with a dramaturgy that enhances hilarity and the construction of characters full of comedy.
