PERFECTA is the last theatrical monologue written by Mattia Torre, one of the most influential and active playwrights in Italian television and theater, who recently passed away.
Perfecta is a fierce and poetic monologue about the female body as a cyclical and wild territory. Four Tuesdays, the same routine, and a woman who mutates under the influence of her hormones. Between comedy, social critique, and melancholy, the play reveals the invisible: the intimate revolution of being a woman every day.
This work doesn't seek to explain, but to embody. It doesn't aim to be pedagogical, but visceral. Because Perfecta is a concave mirror: it amplifies, distorts, reveals. It throws questions in our faces and mocks the historical silence that has shrouded the female body. On stage, the cycle is not taboo: it is the protagonist, it is conflict, it is imperfect beauty. And as the protagonist herself states: My days are all identical. It's me who changes .
Genre: Theatre. Style: Comedy. Duration: 80 min.
Show included in the program of the Performing Arts Circuits of Castilla y León.
