They are there, sleeping peacefully, as if nothing could disturb them. But the air arrives unannounced, without asking, without stopping, touching everything in its path. Then one of them lets it push against her body and move her hands. And she dances for the first time. The other lets it enter her lungs and listens to the sounds that come from her mouth. And she sings for the first time. Little by little, they discover the air: the air that envelops us, pushes us, caresses us, and fills the void we leave behind. The air that ruffles their hair, dries their clothes, or seeps through cracks to howl its presence. They tell their story without needing to speak. They were left speechless, or perhaps the air carried them away.
