Eskimo Girl lives in an igloo village where the cold is intense and constant, except for a few weeks each year when flowers bloom through the frost. Eskimo Girl's village possesses a sacred stone that suddenly cracks after centuries of being unchanged. Eskimo Girl sets out to discover what caused her sacred stone to break. Along the way, she is accompanied by the White Fox, and they hear the stories of the Man Who Plants Trees and the Man Who Transforms Trash into Clouds, who encourage them to continue taking small actions that can change many things.
Thaw speaks of the journey, of personal solutions to climate change and the deterioration of our ecosystem. It speaks of uniting efforts and creating habits that respect the balance of our environment. It speaks of friendship as the most effective weapon and how ordinary people can bring about extraordinary changes.
