THE WIZARD OF OZ

Inspired by L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," this play tells the adventures of a girl named Dorothy in the magical world of Oz on her way back home. Pablo Vergne directs one of the great classics of children's literature; a production that highlights the value of friendship, solidarity, cooperation, intelligence, kindness, and imagination. SYNOPSIS: "In Kansas, you have to walk in lead shoes because a tornado can come at any moment. And if you don't have weight on your feet, the wind can carry you away like a dry leaf. It's very important to have weight on your feet to keep your feet on the ground. But sometimes it's necessary to take off those lead shoes and let yourself be carried by the wings of the wind. This is the story of Dorothy and how a tornado took her far from Kansas, beyond the rainbow, there where the imagination takes its magical flight. Brooms, mops, pots, kitchen utensils, and various objects bring to life this fun and thought-provoking version of the Wizard of Oz. A girl who longs to return home, a scarecrow who wishes he had a brain so he could think, a tin man who longs for a heart so he could feel, and a cowardly lion who yearns for courage embark on a journey to the Emerald City in search of the Wizard of Oz. A journey where the protagonists will learn the value of friendship, tenderness, understanding, and hope.
