A historical thriller centered on the assassination of Juan Álvarez de Castro, Bishop of Coria, during the War of Independence. Blending past and present, the plot weaves together intrigue, historical memory, and the harsh realities of the era.

José Manuel Robledo Vinagre was born in Valverde del Fresno (1973) and grew up in the city of Coria, whose history and traditions left an indelible mark on his life and literary vocation. A law graduate specializing in civil law, he has held various professions that have allowed him to gain firsthand knowledge of the human and social realities of his surroundings.

Passionate about history, nature and photography, he has dedicated years to the research and dissemination of the natural and cultural heritage of Extremadura, a territory that serves as inspiration and setting for his first fiction novel.
