On Wednesday, October 14th , at 7pm, author Vicente Javier Mengó will present his book.

His early death and ideological affiliation seemingly obscured the literary work of the Valencian writer Samuel Ros Pardo (Valencia, 1904–Madrid, 1945), winner of the National Literature Prize (1943). This book, replete with previously unpublished information, provides the biographical keys to understanding the contexts in which his writing developed. Author of stories with a rare charm, as Pedro Mourlane Michelena described him, a novelist, playwright, and a clear example of a writer seduced by journalism, he was recognized and praised by figures of the stature of Azorín and Camilo José Cela.
The reader has at their disposal a complete anthology of his early journalistic writings, which were published in the Valencian newspaper Las Provincias from 1922 to 1927 and which represent an early school of journalism and a springboard for his career as a writer.
