School mobile library visits
  • Thursday, July 9th, from 12:00 to 14:00 h.
  • Friday, July 10th, from 12:00 to 14:00 h.
  • Saturday, July 11th, from 11:00 to 13:00 h.

During the week of July 6-11, we will be taking inventory, cleaning, and organizing the school library 's collection.

For that reason: The vehicle will be at the library entrance and we invite all of you who are interested to visit it!

Mobile libraries are the most effective tool for bringing reading to rural areas and thus responding to the constitutional mandate of equality in access to culture.

The school bookmobile visits schools in villages, promoting reading among children and teenagers and supporting the educational community in their cultural projects.

The school library bus operates with a librarian driver who lends the collection that the vehicle carries and two facilitators who conduct reading promotion sessions among the schoolchildren of the schools visited and provide support to teachers in the bibliographic selection and in the consultation of documents for the tasks they have planned.

The school library bus is a tool managed in collaboration between two institutions: the Provincial Council of Zamora and the Junta de Castilla y León .
