Action Without Borders is a Spanish NGO working in the fields of International Development Cooperation, as well as awareness-raising and education projects for Social Transformation. It has been present in the city of Burgos since 2020, where it carries out various activities within its strategy of promoting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2023 Agenda. During the 2025-26 school year, they are working to promote Sustainable Development Goal number 1: "No Poverty" (among others); this being a priority goal at the global level, as well as being the most overarching of all the goals and therefore encompassing the others.
To this end, they utilize the traveling exhibition presented here as a teaching tool. This exhibition consists of 14 explanatory panels plus one roll-up banner, the latter describing who we are, our mission, values, and objectives (as an NGO). The overall objective of disseminating this exhibition is to raise awareness among our citizens about the complex problem of the Cycle of Poverty in the World, analyzing its causes and consequences, emphasizing the defense of Human Rights, and adopting a gender perspective. The aim is to foster critical reflection, mobilization, and social change, building a much fairer and more equitable world where structural inequalities disappear.
The content of this exhibition focuses on the 5 + 2 targets that this Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) sets globally; it also describes two projects that Action Without Borders is carrying out in Guatemala and one in Mexico to achieve this SDG in these regions of the world. At the end of the exhibition, ideas are offered on how to contribute to achieving this SDG at the local level, to motivate change and the fulfillment of this challenge globally.
