Swingueando is a production of the Proyecto Villalacre Cultural Association, conceived from its inception as a collective of young musicians and a driving force for culture based in this village in the Merindades region. The collective's objective is to develop an independent and self-managed path to promote culture in all its forms from a rural perspective.

Swingueando was born to revive the party music and classic jazz of the first half of the 20th century. Around the 1930s, the electric and festive rhythms of American swing arrived in Europe, bringing with them a new way of understanding music, linked to dancing and nightclubs. In France, the first to embrace this carefree music, free from rules and constraints, were the bohemians who, on the fringes of society, created a particularly powerful form of expression: Gipsy Jazz or Jazz Manouche. Its greatest exponent was Django Reinhardt, a virtuoso guitarist who, along with other figures like violinist Stéphane Grappelli, brought fame to a dizzying yet expressive music that still inspires audiences today with a zest for life and a desire to dance.

Swingueando is made up of:

Guillermo Martínez - Piano

Unai Celaya - Violin

Adrian Carro - Saxophone

Joaquín Marco - Double Bass

Jon Plágaro - Guitar
