This analysis ranges from domestic loneliness to loneliness as an urban disorder, exploring the diverse landscapes and scenarios of subjective, social, and demographic loneliness. It will consider the implications and risks of unwanted loneliness, the political discomfort surrounding the plight of single-person households, and the emotional and clinical consequences of what has been called the "epidemic of the 21st century."
