Es.Tradición is a look at origins, at memory, at ancestral and popular culture passed down from parents to children, which has reached us thanks to them and the continued work of artists and researchers. It encompasses stories, music, voices, rituals, and customs that once shaped the lives of communities and were present and intrinsically linked to both daily life and moments of celebration, returning to the collective imagination through those who consider it their history and legacy.
In this transmission, family and social groups play a fundamental role, helping throughout history to maintain a legacy that would otherwise have been lost. But this legacy is not static and immutable; rather, it evolves over time and is enriched by new forms and ideas, or, in the case of music, by new sounds and instruments.
This fifth edition plays with the link between tradition and current music: electronic, rock, pop… In this way, it is demonstrated that traditional music continues to be a vehicle of the first order in the artistic and cultural transmission of our times.
