Daria Shubina and Mariana Dueña are the directors of this documentary promoted by the La Escuela de Burgos Association and in collaboration with Sumando Comunicación.

The aim is to give visibility and voice to the way we relate, communicate, and connect with our children, and to encourage us to reflect on and question situations of hidden violence behind our words. Far from simply diagnosing the problem, the documentary proposes a transformative approach, with practical solutions and the active participation of adults.

"What Words Conceal" is a medium-length film filled with expert voices seeking to bring to light those "small acts of violence" that go unnoticed by thousands of people every day. In Dueñas' words, "It was born from something that worried us a great deal: realizing that, often, children suffer violence that is almost invisible, even in environments we believe to be safe. We wanted to talk about those 'microaggressions' that seep into our daily lives without us even noticing." Thus, the 40-minute production exposes those words that wound, even unintentionally.
